    Source??

Where did you find this information? I saw a mail-in rebate with different numbers. The $400-$599 rebate was $75. Wonder if there are two going on or just different numbers in different areas.

Would you post any link to that MIR info please. I just got a toy there on Friday and wonder if I can get $75 back.

      TIA

        My Mistake

The rebates I saw (found the page I printed) were for online purchases, not in store. Can't seem to find it on the web anymore but if some one needs the form I can scan and email it. Sorry for the confusion.

          Is this true?

The timing would be perfect if so. I've been eying several new additions for the shop. My web search turned up nothing. Could you post the scan for us?

This promotion now shows on the Home Depot web site.

According to the blurb, store purchases get you an instant discount coupon. Online purchases will receive a mail-in rebate:

"Now through April 11, you can save up to $500 when you buy select tools. Shop at your local store and get an instant coupon you can use when you check out. Or shop online and get money back by mail-in rebate."

The possible rub is that further down the page, it says the instant coupon is "redeemable immediately for purchases of select portable power tools, generators, compressors, pneumatics, pneumatic fasteners, jobsite tools and wet/dry vacs within The Home Depot’s Hardware Department valued at $199 or more." I can't tell from reading it exactly what that means, except that it seems clear you won't get the discount/rebate on ALL tool purchases.

I notice the rebate numbers match rags's info but not Cheeky's. Same rebate totals in-store and on-line. Buying as close as possible to the $199, $400, $600 and $2000 numbers return savings of approx. 18%, 19%, 21% and 25%, respectively. The saving percentages drop rapidly at the high end of the range.

You can also download a PDF rebate form for online purchases on the linked page.

Lots of fine print at the bottom of the linked page. Most notably "See store associate for coupon with details". Probably the same instructions as the more elaborate "fine print" details for online purchases or the downloadable PDF rebate form (to be used for online purchases only).

Yes, but that's just the necessary form you still have to mail-in to get the rebate -- yes? IOW, I'm not seeing any way to apply for the rebate online.

Yes. I just posted the info so people know where to find the form. It's not the easiest thing to find.

Apply for a rebate online? Home Depot? Stop it Larry, you are killing me!

Hopefully this includes the combo belt/spindle sander. I think I'll have to go over tonight and take a look.

                    Thanks for posting Cheeky.

                      Still need Scanned Form?

Does anyone still need a scanned version of the online rebate form? If so, PM me and I will scan and e-mail copy. I think the link was provided above in another post.

Yes, it does apply to the oscillating spindle sander. I got one today. Have been waiting for such a deal.

I'm a little confused. At one point in the fine print it sounds one way, at another point it sounds another way.

Is each eligible item above $199?
                          OR
Eligible items need to add up to more than $199?

Anyone know what items ARE eligible? Been looking for about 1 year on getting a (in no particular order) bandsaw, Ridgid thickness planer, Ridgid joiner, miter saw, Ridgid oscillating edge/belt spindle sander, drill press, and misc items. Guess it's time to make a trip to Home Depot.

The timing is not good, but it seems like it never is.

The latter. From the fine print on the HD web site:

"Eligible products may be purchased individually or in combination with other eligible products to meet the minimum purchase requirement."

As for which items are eligible, I'm not sure there's any way to know that without going to the store and either asking or, perhaps, attempting to buy the item (the computer system should ... should ... have the eligible items flagged).

As for timing ... nope. Never good. Never.

Does anybody know for sure if the Dewalt DW735 planer is included in this? I saw that it was marked down from $549 to $499 this last weekend. The sale would make it $424 and there is a factory rebate of $60 on them right now so the final price would be $364. Then I'd just have to buy the extension tables.
