It may not be too late!

I just went to the store today and showed them the printout, and purchased three (since i cant get anything on sale). I had printed out the ad on the the 29th and just went today. He just looked at it and made the adjustment.

if anyone wants, i can scan it for them and you can take it to the store. just email me, and i will shoot it out to you.

    regards,

That it does now! Boy, they must really want to get rid of these...

Thanks a lot Tim, shall not miss it this time. (Hopefully can get free shipping too).

Btw, what is the best way to cut this T-track? Would the jigsaw do it (mebbe i need to change the blade)?

Hacksaw by hand and then sand to a smooth finish. OR...
Your miter saw (CMS) with a 60-80 tooth carbide blade will do the job beautifully (clamp both ends).
A small aluminum cut will not hurt it, as aluminum is really pretty soft.

My review on Rockler T-trak kits:
Not standard T-trak in that it won't accept 1/4-20 hex head bolts as most other T-trak will. Fortunately they give you 8 bolts that fit.
If you need more for some reason, special Rockler T-bolts are costly (~$1 ea) when purchased separately compared to 1/4-20 bolts ($0.10-0.20). But there are 8 bolts in different lengths included so its not likely you have to buy more.
Knobs are fine, just like everyone elses knobs.
Blue-anodized color is a standout. Varies in shades of blue from different lots so if you mix, your project might look weird. Natural aluminum would be more consistent in color matching. Also if you cut it and the cut end shows it will be silver (for those who are anal about the way their jigs look).
All in all a very good buy with the included knobs and bolts for the price when $15, better when $10.99.

Thanks Loring, and for the additional detail. I was wondering if 'standards' apply here.

Also, can I use this as a miter channel on my shop-built router table? is the interior dimension in this same as a standard miter-track?

NO! you have to buy bigger miter track. For Standard miter gauges, the "slots" are 3/4" wide and 3/8" deep, or maybe a hair bigger, they are intended for bars that are 3/4" wide and 3/8" deep.

Rockler charges around a buck apiece for T-bolts??! Site sponsor or no, that's outrageous. Lee Valley has 10 packs of 1" for $2.40, and 2" for $2.90. About the same as hex head quarter-twenties of the same length.

The best miter track for a router table is ... none. A miter track is IMO the most over-rated and underused component on any router table. A sled that rides along the fence provides better control, better safety, and is far more versatile.

The problem with a miter gauge in a slot (besides weakening the top) is that the workpiece can be difficult to hold in place unless you have a hold-down clamp on your miter gauge -- which essentially turns your miter gauge into a sled. So why not use a proper sled and be done with it?

Some like miter slots for the attachment of featherboards. Again, a workpiece that requires a featherboard is better controlled and more safely controlled with a sled.

See www.patwarner.com and Bill Hylton's excellent book "Woodworking With The Router" for more.

                    $.79 to 1.29 for 1" to 3-1/2".
and limited to selection from four lengths, at that.
                    Well, they are 5/16-18, though...

At those prices you should be glad they are sold individually, not in packs of ten. Ha.

I note the Lee valley t-track is only 3/8" in height... it probably does not have enough room to take a 1/4" hex head bolt either.

I just bought a set. The cash register showed it to be regular price when he rung it up. Luckily I brought the print out of the online price and they manually fixed the price.
