        Could you use the xy vise in any mortiser? I just got a Jet JBM-5 mortiser. Haven't set it up yet, but if the vise is helpful, I figure why not?

            Pat - How's the quality on that xy vice? I started to pick one up at Woodcraft the other day and it's $79.

                Picked one up on the way to work this morning. Pleasantly surprised it was on sale.

                Now have to figure out how to re-configure the thing as recommended by another forum.
