    Quick Grip Clamps

While searching hoplessly for the 4-outlet 12 ga extension cords at HD,
I snagged a four pack of 6" Irwin Quick Grips for $19.97. They have this deal periodically at HD, Lowes and Rockler.
That's a pretty good price, for $5 each. I guess its a special package, they were on an end cap display when I walked by.

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

they also have individual Irwin clamps at HD and Lowes with a buy one get one free mail-in rebate sticker on them (from 6" up to 24" i believe)

Also, Sears has their 12" for $9.99 before 11am on Friday (regularly 19.99)

One thing about it...the Irwin quick grip clamps are better made than those
cheap plastic p.o.c.'s from harbor freight. I busted two of mine by squeezing
the trigger on them too hard. eezlock

The Irwins come with a lifetime replacement, which is always nice. I have heard mixed review of them, but I'm going to pick up 3 @ home depot tomorrow....before the rebate ends (send one to my office, home and parents house )

Agree. Got a dozen of the HF's for a BD gift last year, now down to eight, only by cannibalizing parts from the broken ones to make the others last a little longer. Snapped two jaws, and the mechanism went through the side of the others. With any luck, they'll last until spring when my next pay raise hits.
          Measure it with a micrometer...
          Mark it with a crayon...
Cut it with a chain saw!

I think with the Irwin Quick Grip (TM) one-handed clamps, the Irwin ones are the way to go, the other copies all are lacking quality. The Irwin ones at $5 apiece on sale are a pretty good buy, they're my go-to clamps when I'm looking to clamp something quickly.
