    Rockler Mysterious Gift Card

Went through the mail yesterday and there was a white enveloped from Rockler. I felt the envelope and felt that there was a card inside, opened it and there was a letter inside and a blank gift card, the letter said that the gift card amount could be between $5.00 to $100.00 That was really nice of them..

    Anybody else got this?

It looks like it has some strip in the bottom back of the card that looks like it is scratchable. I left the letter that came with it at home, I thought it said something about bringing the card at the store and there you'll see how much your mystery gift card is worth... hmmm, i am kind of afraid to scratch it at the moment because I do not want to void anything. I'll have to wait til' I get home and re-read the letter again. Did anybody else get this or is this just a local offer?

if it is a gift card, then that would be a magnetic strip on the back. (like a credit card). you do NOT want to scratch that off.

At HD, for instnace, if you return something that was not bought on a credit card, they issue you a gift card for the credit amount, even if it is just for a dollar or two. So the cards with embedded $ technology are not expensive.

Sorry for the late reply, been out of internet lately because I've been busy installing hardwood flooring in the house. The gift card was only for $5.00 but I was able to quadruple the gift card amount so it was for $20.00..

Wife was not happy with me on that last visit to Rockler in Schaumburg because I came home with a Leigh DR4 Dovetail Jig

Giftcard came with a letter/flyer indicating 10% off any regular price item so I was able to combine 10% plus $20.00 gift card and bought the leigh dovetail jig for a nice price. I had buyers remorse while on my way home and sure enough LOML was not happy with me.

Ended up being my birthday and Christmas gift combo
