    Big Guy,

It's still on the Ridgid website: http://www.ridgid.com/MenuDriver.asp...P-Router-Combo

I'd trust this website more than the HD site.

Ridgid/Ryobi /OWT changes models faster than anybody. Can any one keep track of how many Ryobi reinvent the wheel routers there have been? My RE600 is still better than anything they have made and it is how old?
It would not supprise me if they disc. this router kit. Look at the Ryobi spindle sander, a good tooland several of the cordless Ridgid tools are not available anymore . I think it is to not allow store exchanges and they have very few parts for repair if you ever look at the part lists. I checked a few Ryobi cordless tools and it is mostly an assembly of groups too costly for most any repairs.
I would stick to Bosch, Makita or even DeWalt for routers. The classic PC routers are good too, some newer ones, not so good. I wonder about the Milwaulkee tools, now the LocTor's are made in China, thanks OWT! Their routers appear good but who knows in the long run.
My DW621 is still the best hand held plunge according to Pat warner and it is over 20 y.o. design, Elu designed them and the 625,608. My DW 608's are bullet proof too, even an older design.
I too liked the light and switch on the handle of my old, 70's CM router that is still going, I gave it to my stepbrother b/c he did not have anything. That idea is not new but is good but not good enough for me to buy routers from Ridgid/Ryobi.

I just bought the Ridgid combo this past Saturday. Not a bad deal for $152 (reduced price, minus 10% discount). Can't wait to shape some wood with this beauty. It will be perfect for the oak trim in the kitchen.

Where's the best place to pick up a router mounting plate so I can fit this to my new BT. I finally took it out of the box and set everything up at the new house... nice job, only a minor tweak was required on the SMT. Next visit, I'll install the Ridgid Herc-U-lift.

Thanks for any suggestions on the router mounting plate,

            Erik,

Unfortunately about the only place you'll find a Herc-U-Lift Plus these days is on E-Bay. For whatever reason, Home Depot closed them out earlier this summer for about $15. I bought three of them back in June or July and as I put the new shop together there's a place for each and everyone.

There's been a few requests for the Herc-U-Lift on a couple of the forums in the past few weeks. I know my local store had about six of them after I bought mine, but on checking last week they are certainly long gone.
