I bought it at $131 too, but the price has now dropped from $187 to $169 so give amazon a call and you new total after promotions should be $118!!

Looks like B75025 really smoked it at $162

Thanks to everyone here for all the info, I seldom post, but read often!

I'm a moron!!! Was debating this table and the benchdog and just decided to go for the bosch at $118......now it's estimated ship date of Jan 2. Since I had made the decision for the Bosch, should I wait?

Amazon usually way over states anticipated delivery dates.

The Bosch was recently named as one of the top new tools of 2006 by Popular Woodworking magazine.

Having said that I believe the Bench Dog is just as good.

The RA1181? I thought that was the RA1171, but my memory is a little foggy on this.

BTW price just jumped 35 bucks on the 1171

You are right. December 2006 - RA1171 named one of the best new tools. The 1181 has most of the + features ie same fence, no flex router plate,

Also note that the 1181 has the same base and top as the 1180. The 1180 was also made for Sears. They have since cleared the Craftsman out, but you can still find random deals on accessories for the table such as the legs, router bit holders that snap in the side, etc. Also, I have saw the leg kits on clearance at Lowes in the past since they went to the laminate top Bosch router table.

Just got mine in on Friday. Put it together over the weekend, seems like a fairly nice table. None of the pre-drilled mounting holes lined up for my Hitachi M12V, but the drill press quickly fixed that problem. Had to remove the handles on the side to fit it in the opening, but this is going to be permanently mounted, so no big deal.

              Thanks for the heads up!!!

Well, Amazon shipped mine out yesterday and was delivered today (2 months earlier than estimated). Went together in about a little over an hour and the fixed base of the Bosch 1617 fit like a glove (even has the access for above the table height adjustment). It's very well engineered from an assembly standpoint (Didn't get a chance to test it out, that will have to wait for the weekend). The most tedious part of the assembly was putting together the 8 screws and lock nuts for the table height/level adjustments. Everything was packed well with all the nuts/bolts/knobs separated into bags for their application (one bag for the fence, one for the table, and one for the router plate attachment)

Seems like a quality tool and I'm overall happy with the purchase so far.

                Thanks again.
