From what I've read about them the jury is still out as far as how good they are. They are a new product so the longevity test hasn't even been written yet. Cost wise, they currently are reportedly close enough in cost to the originals to warrant buying them over the better know and proven bessey's. That's what I've seen reported and not first hand experience.

Two, 2 footers showed up at our local HF (Buffalo, NY) about a month ago. They seem similar to the Besseys. But they were priced at $29.99 each. I was there again today to check out the sidewalk sale, and they are still there. That in and of itself says somthing I think.

I might be willing to take a flyer on them if they were in the $15-$20 range, but at $29.99, why take a chance. It might be tough for them to sell 2 foot clamps for $30 each, when they have others priced at $4.00 each sitting right next to them.

I'd say the average person showing up at a HF is not planning to spend premium prices for average to premium products.
They'd have to preform at least good and be relatively cheap to appeal to the typical HF customer.

The F-clamps and the aluminum clamps are probably more in line with the price and bang for buck the average HF customer is looking for.
