    MLCS Router 45 Pc Bit Set - $2.22 per bit

    Unfortunately my tool budget for the year is shot and I can't really justify the outlay but this might be a good deal for someone just getting into the router thing.

    wow, that's a great deal, I paid $99 for the 30-pc set.
    I hae always found MLCS to be great bits and great customer service;
    even if you don't buy from them download the free router bit instruction PDF file for all their bits... works great with everyone else's bits too and explains how to use those peculiar bits like the lock-miter bit table-hinge roundover drop-leaf bit that are so difficult to understand and tricky to use. Here's a link to the free instructions:

      i did the same thing Loring did...99 for 30

      if you need bits, this is a great find. i read once that it would be advised to buy a bunch of bits in a kit, then if you find you wear one out from using it a lot, then you can replace that with a higher quality bit when that time comes. this has been great advice. if i had to drop 35$$$ on a frued or whiteside everytime i needed a different profile many of my projects would have looked differently or i wouldn't have used the router to get the result. moral: buying bulk bits will save you time and money down the road, and if you never use a few, you still come out WAY ahead.

      I'm not sure what Holbren has going now, he may have something that beats this deal.
