I wish I was cool enough for FHM, Stuff, Maxim, GQ, etc.
For now I just look foward to the newest Highlights (parents understand this one).Comment

I placed order in August and have yet to see the first copy. I have sent E-mail but got no response. This might not turn out to be such a great deal for me after all. Oh well, $4.95 is not going to break the bank.spellling champion Lexington region 1982Comment

Just for the heck of it I decided to try the Mags4Less web site one last time. I went to contact and wrote to the asking about my order and amazingly I got an email saying the following, we'll see if it helps:
"Over the last several months a series of events have occurred that have resulted in a large number of customers not receiving their magazine subscriptions nor a timely response from our customer service team. As it turns out, we received more orders than our order management system could handle -- and as a result, the system collapsed. The collapse of the system resulted in some customer orders not being submitted to our suppliers and publishers, which led many customers to contact our customer support team with order inquiries. These inquires have overwhelmed the MagsForLess customer service team who have not been able to reply in the usual 12 hour window."Comment

Johathan, their response is the biggest chunk of baloney I've seen in a long time. I wrote American Woodworker direct and complained about this situation. The never returned my email but I did hear from Magsforless within a day. Magforless "apologized" and said I would see a refund in 30 days. Of course 30 days went by with no credit to my card ever issued. I emailed Magsforless again and received this response on 2/13/07......

Dear Dave,
I do apologize for the inconvenience. I was able to locate your order in our system and confirm that indeed there was a problem processing your order. I canceled your order and personally initiated a refund to your account. You should see the refund posted to your account within 4-5 business days.
I am sorry to say this order can not be resubmitted. The price of this magazine has recently been raised by the publisher due to cost increase. Unfortunately we are unable to honor the old price. If you would like to reorder the magazine, you can go to www.magsforless.com.
I'm sorry for any trouble and appreciate your patience and cooperation on this matter. I wanted to make sure your refund is processed immediately so I took care of it personally.
Best Regards,
Meagen Richards,

Seems like they have a multiple choice of excuses doesn't it? This also was the 2nd time they have said they would credit my card. I haven't received a new credit card statement since their last email so I can't say if they did or didn't credit my account this time but I'm not holding my breath. Keep pestering them though, it's fun knowing that they're wasting so much time answering emails.Last edited by sweensdv; 03-02-2007, 09:34 AM._________________________

Came across this on ebay: 4 years for $11.94. Seller has a 100% rating since 2003, but as always buyer beware when ordering mags off of ebay - I gave it a shot as it is not too much of a risk.
