OK, I've now emailed them 3 times and heard nothing back. I think it may be time to give up....it's only$5, but it's the principal.

No magazine either, but I've forgotten to look if I was ever charged. Will have to go back and check.

          Expected delivery change for me

I placed my original order on July31. After requesting they "expedite" my order and repeated emails, they changed my expected delivery date from Nov-Dec '06 to 03/14/2007 - 04/11/2007. They sent no notice, I just happened to see it on their order status page:

I think they did charge it to the card. I feel so bad for posting this thread initially. I had obtained other magazine subscription with them and have had no problems until this deal. I am so sorry for the incoveniences!

Before reading thru the details from those who've not received anything, I jumped on the $4.99 deal. I like the mag and for $5 it's worth a shot. If nothing shows, I'll contest the charge to my CC. I don't hold you responsible at all Chris. You provided price info, I made the purchase decision and will live with the outcome good or bad.

I emailed the magazine today and explained how their reputation is being tarnished by their rep, MagsForLess. I also included a link to this thread. It will be interesting to see if I get a response.

EDIT: After making this response I checked my email again. I didn't receive a response from American Woodworker but there was an email from MagsForLess. It appeared to me to be a form type letter more than anything else. Some guy named Andrew said that my concerns have been addressed to my satisfaction??????????? What the devil does that mean? Nowhere did he mention my Order ID number or even the name of the magazine. So, I replied to Mr. Andrew that if he couldn't guarantee me that I would start receiving the magazine within 30 days to cancel the order and that I expected a check from his company, for the price of the subscription, within that same 30 day period.

I also feel at the very least American Woodworker should have shot off an email informing me that MagsForLess would be contacting me. Their silence says a lot.

The link you show has a seller who has a history of only 30 transactions. I might find someone who has been around longer.

I bought a couple of WW magazines through ebay from LasVegasMagazines (or something like that) and have had no problems. My subscriptions began very quickly.

Chris it was our choice to order it. And it was only 5 bucks, would be a bigger deal if it was alot more. Hopefully it will work out.

I checked to see what I got on this site and received the following info :

                        Order : 37#### Amount $4.99 Order Date : 2006-07-31
American Woodworker for 1 years and 7 issues.
Your expected delivery range is: 09/25/2006 - 10/23/2006.
                        Shipping Info:
                        Jeffrey Schronce
                        etc

All you need to access this info is your zip code and email address. I began receiving my copies in Sept as noted on their site. There is also a section on that very same page that allows you to chnage a radio button form "OK" to "Dispute" or "Never Received/"Order Status. I guess that is some automated form. I would check to see your status if you have not gotten the magazine yet. My *guess* is that they only have a limited number of subscriptions that they can sell at this price every month.

Edit : Man do they have some crazy prices. 5 years of Penthouse fo $13, 4 years of Rolling Stones (104 issues) for $10. Interesting that Penthouse is $13 for 5 years and Playboy is $66 for 2 years. One could argue taste, however Hustler is $113 for two years so that arguement is out the window! LOL! It is weird that some magazines are sooo expensive on the site, like Workbench is $22 for 6 issues. Too bad their service was so spotty for you guys or I could load up on porn! LOL!

I received a copy of American Woodworker

I believe that I got my first issue last week. What is confusing is that my first issue is from September 2006, issue number 123. I will wait one more month to see what happens. This is a strange one!

I got the 4 years on Rolling Stone and that one I have had no problems with.. Asked LOML if she would be okay if I get a subscription started on magazines such as Playboy, Hustler or Penthouse and she said "NO WAY " So I settled for Stuff and FHM
