    Jay,

Wow.. that's a great price for the Makita kit. I'm sure a lot of us would jump on that to either keep and use, give away , or sell.

I broke down today, stopped and bought one. $144 and change including tax. Just as an FYI, the kit I got appears to be the same as the Amazon, minus the flourescent light. Fine by me, don't need the light anyhow. Yesterday, there was two on the shelf. Today I got the last one.

I'll try to post a receipt tomorrow in case someone wants to try a price match at their local BORG. This was at the Chester, VA store.

I got that kit from Amazon, I got it with the 80 dollar off (mistake) they had back in february.
        I'm very happy with it
Nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you. You're better than that! -Rocky Balboa-

I just picked up the 14.4 volt set with the light for $137 - 10%= $124 ($132 with tax). I really don't need this and I've been spending too much on tools lately, but just couldn't pass it up. Would make a really nice gift for my brother-in-law or I could just sell it on ebay.

The one HD near me that actually has good deals and good customer service was blowing out a lot of good stuff. They had the ridgid 18v Hammer Drill/circular saw/work light combo kit for $199, A bunch of Husky 2200 psi gas power washers for $150, the ryobi 18v circular saw for $37 (also mentioned in another post). Too bad they wouldn't put the ryobi 1301 planer or any of the ridgid bench/stand tools on close-out.

Bought one at the Lufkin TX store on Sat night. Had to have a borgster come with a ladder to get it down from the racks above the display. He was amazed when I had him scan it and it came up $137. Sweet deal!
BTW, one left that I saw unless the Borgster got it!
