Scott, which saw did you get the 12 or the 14?

Can you post or send a receipt, if so I could get them to match I think.

    Thanks,
    David

      Riser Kit Part #

      Jeff,

I spent a while on the phone with sears today. Trying to get the part number for the riser kit. The rep had no idea what a riser kit was. Silly me, I tried to explain that is increased the resaw height. His comment was 'aren't we talking about a band saw'.

So if you can get me a part number or link to the place an order for I would be much obliged.

Resaw capacity is not a issue with this saw other than HP. There is a 6" direct mount riser kit marketed by Sears that fits this directly. I think it is around $60. See the link for the Hitachi Forum that I posted above for ordering details. You are going to have to have a great blade and lots of patience to resaw a 12" hardwood with this 3/4 HP saw.

If you go to the Hitachi CB13F forum, there is some information on a riser kit for the Hitachi. If the Craftsman is the same, the riser should work as well. It is not sold through Hitachi or Sears, but through some other company. It would be worth calling to get information at least.

Jeffery; thanks for the info on riser block. I'll call Joe on Monday and see what gives for the Craftsman. I loke the saw except for the useable height for resawing. Thanks again.

Spotted one in the clearance section at the Montgomery Mall store tonight. I don't want/need it...so I thought I'd pass the info along. Montgomeryville, PA 18936

Scott, not sure but it looks like your credit card # is on that receipt. You might want to get that pic off of there and re-post with it blacked out.

Sure looks like a CC # to me. Not something you want out there for the masses to see !

                              Steve,

                              Thanks for the heads up.

The RC number is not a credit card number. Same number of digits but not a cc #.

                              Scott

PS As a general note all visa card start with a 4 not 5.

Yeah, visas are 4 and mastercards are 5. Good deal. Just saw that 16 digit # and thought that's what it was.
