    Bowclamps

Not a "bargain" in price, but in time and clamp savings. Bought a set of these and am very impressed. Provide equal clamping pressure along the length with only 2 clamps! Makes clamping setup easy as pie - only 2 to adjust, rather than one clamp every so many inches. Love 'em! Will be getting some more.

Unless I'm mistaken, those things look very much like "Cawls".

If that's what they are, you can make your own a heck of a lot cheaper than what they're asking for them.

Yes, but they won't have "the help of

I don't mind seeing a post from a satisfied bowclamp customer here -- we might serve ourselves better to leave the bashing back on Woodnet, though.

Just a well-intentioned suggestion, and not meant as a bash on the bashers.

            Regards,
            Tom

Yeah, that was a good (not to mention civilized) thread -- thanks for posting it. (Although my post above came after yours, it wasn't in response to it -- in fact, I didn't see it before I posted.)

Count me as another very satisfied customer of the bowclamps. I actually have four of each size.

They work as advertised and eliminate gaps between the box and the face frame with equal pressure along the surface of the faceframe.

Going to try them out. Just ordered a pair of 2 ft cauls.
Looks like the cats hind end to me.

Saw something else of interest over there that I've never seen before.
does anyone know anything about these Eurekazone products...Pricey but looks good. too bad I bought a left hand blade saw.

Sorry -- my post must have seemed pretty cryptic to folks who don't visit Woodnet much. This particular bowclamp product has been the subject of lots of discussion on Woodnet, ranging from good and useful, to downright venomous personal attacks on the maker.

Luckily, our discussion hadn't "gone there" yet, and I was hoping to keep it that way.

                          Regards,

From looking at SMC, it looks like Craig is just a guy who had an idea for a useful product and is trying to promote it through these types of forums.
This looks like the type of product that the likes of Lee Valley will eventually get ahold of and put in there catalog as a uniquely useful item. It is just the sort of thing they seem to like.

                              Eurekazone products...

I own the saw guide and it works great. You might search the Fine Home Building
Forum for more info. There have been some mighty heated "discussions" in the other wood working forums about this product and the similar Festool guide.
If I'd known it was harmless I'd have killed it myself.
