Router Speed Control at HF (online)

HF's router speed control (43060-7VGA) is on sale for $9.99. (Regularly $24.95, and frequently $19.99.)

Does anyone know if this could also be used with a bench grinder or bench disk/belt sander? (i.e. so you don't take the temper out of a chisel, etc.)

Probably not. Those tools usually have induction motors, and these add-on speed controls only work with universal motors.

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

Confirming with the test - my chinese grinder with MLCS speed controller do not like each other. Instead of variable speed I got the wheel barely moving at about 5rpm and not adjustable.
