I am glad that I did the swap!
First thing I noticed is that there is a rubber gasket where the oil drain plug is located. The other compressor that was returned leaked a little. I thought there should have been a rubber gasket and I was right.
The second thing I noticed is that the holes for the wheels are drilled much better. I don't have to tip this unit so far back as the old compressor. As a result, it wheels around just fine.
I ran the compressor and drained it three times with no blown head gasket! Maybe this one will last. The engine sure does sound different than the first. I will pull the cover just to make sure everything is tight.
Everything is good so far...
