Popular HF 2" Brad Nailer at $14.99 Plus New Nailer Addition

    All,

Noticed the ever-popular HF 2" brad nailer (item # 46309) is down to $14.99 on the web site. Good price for a nailer that gets good ratings (though I do not own one myself). Deal would be even a little better if you add in a valid 10 or 20 % off coupon. Don't forget a printout of the web price for them to match before going to the store (the local stores will most likely not know of this deal, but will, in my experience, honor the web price).

On another note, I did see a new 2" brad nailer on the HF site (item # 93680). Nailer is bit more expensive ($34.99 standard price), but is listed as being oil-free. Maybe a copy of a Bostitch or Senco ?

That's a deal. I have the one of the brad/stapler combos (http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...mnumber=40115) and it does the job well (and 1 1/4" brads seem to be the biggest I need to go).
    Thanks,
    Pete

      Hey,
I have the Brad Nailer and the combo and have used them a ton.
Have the occasional missed brad (hasn't jammed yet). Only use the combo for staples - it was first one I bought and was pretty disappointed with mark it puts in wood when used as a nailer so I got the dedicated nailer - no more problems. Satchmo

        Satchmo,

You ahev had some problems with the HF 46309? Is it worth getting as this will be my first brad nailer.

Also I received a flyer yesterday and the brad nailer is listed for $19.99. I wonder why the flyer has a different price then the website. I would like to use the recent 20% off coupon.

They usually do. Just bring a printout of the web and the store will match it and then take your coupon too.

I wish that there was an adjustment that could be made so that the brad was sunk in only a certain depth. I noticed the same thing at the end of one of the projects and meant to check it out but put it away and...

              Maybe one like this http://www.toolbarn.com/product/unicatch/UB1832/

I primarily use the combo when making drawers and putting the 1/4 backing on projects so the mark was never really an issue. However, if I was using it for face trimming. I would also be concerned about the depth. I need to check out the nailer now.

                ...
try changing the air pressure some either way (more for deeper, less for shallower) Don't exceed... 120 psi (or the max they list) and go much under 70 psi. at the extremes. Good luck

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

I will have to play around with that. Biggest problem I would see is if doing multiple brads (quickly), some may be set above the wood if the pressure drops. That one I posted for $19 with an adjustment depth stop doesn't look back either. Maybe in the future.
                  Thanks,
                  Pete

Does anyone have the HF 23ga pinner? I don't think I would use it very often but I wanted it to easily pin my returns for crown molding.
