You gotta look hard, check the overheads. One HD told me they didn't have any, next day, there's one in the tool corral and more overhead.
They're not on closeout, either, so HD should have them or be able to order at that price.
I just got one installed on the planer, sweet! Bandsaw is next, I'll have to take my shop-made contraption off.Comment

hey DavidTU,
I bought one of these on the HD up on Aurora. I into HD and asked several of the orange aprons where to find one -- they were all clueless. Then I went to the contractor desk -- looked it up on the HD website (where it is listed), got the pn and then went to the tools manager who looked it up and showed me where there were located. In the tools crib near the table saw but unmarked and quite neglected. Phew, a bunch of work, but hey, for $30 worth the effort.Comment

Natbr, your timing is perfect.... I am just about to go there to try again to find it and here you've proved they have it. Thanks for the info!!

Back w/ 2 of them... there are still a couple more at the Aurora store and also another in a ripped open box in the northern Aurora Village store... they were down to two left and the clown tools manager there would not give me a discount on that 2nd ripped up box so I left it for him and got the 2nd at the other store. For a minute thought I was going to score for less than $29! Doh!!!
And, for the record, they told me they were on "Clearance" and that it probably meant a new model was coming (presumably at the higher old price--my presumption, not theirs).Last edited by davidtu; 05-14-2006, 11:01 PM.Never met a bargain I didn't like.Comment

Herculift on BT3000
Has anyone put one on the 3000? I could not get the lift to meet the dimensions required for the BT3000 this weekend. I am pretty good at putting these type things together, but not on the 3000. I put one on my miter saw and one on my radial arm saw with no trouble. I read that the 28X28 measurement would work for the BT3100 but it didn't seem right for the BT3000? Thanks, although I will probably feel dumb when you tell me how easy it was!Comment

I can't help w/ the BT3000, but if you think it'd be useful I could give you details about the arrangement that worked for the BT3100... I had a tough time getting mine to work and scoured all the forums for info and pics. Part of my trouble, though, was that I'd inadvertantly put two bars "over" that were supposed to be "under" on one of the subframes. Ooops.Never met a bargain I didn't like.Comment

Thanks David but I think the frame is a different size. I sure appreciate your help though!Originally posted by davidtuI can't help w/ the BT3000, but if you think it'd be useful I could give you details about the arrangement that worked for the BT3100... When I found the one I bought, it was also placed so only the short side was showing. It was also on a shelf across from the shop vacs, nowhere near anything you would actually use it for. You may need to slowly walk up and down the tool isles looking closely for a Ridgid box.Originally posted by davidtuThe ones I've seen were also put on the shelf longwise--so all you may see is the end of the box, not the side as shown above.Comment

I walked up and down the power tools isle and saw the end of a herc-u-lift box up on the shelf. When I asked the HD employee to get it for me he said they only have 4 left. I was told a week earlier that they didn't have any and weren't planning on getting any. They also said that the box shouldn't have been there. It should have been on the end cap.Comment
