    Ridgid Herc-U-Lift $29

Don't know what the regular price is, but Home Depot is selling the Herc-U-Lifts for $29 now. They are rated up to 300 lbs.

The HD close to me had them for $49.00 before dropping them to $29.00.

      I would consider something else.
These do not have lifetime warranty, Husky@HD,and HF ones do. I have both and the Husky is better in 1/2" drive size due to 250

                Larry,

I have attached it to a Delta Contractors saw 36-675 and was very easy to install.

The Herc-u-Lift is Rigid model AC9950 and you can get the owners manual here.

Added the Herc-U-Lift to my BT3100 yesterday. If you can get this deal you absolutely MUST do it (if you need to move your saw ever, anyway). I was using the accessory kit casters, and as everyone knows, they suck. For less than $30 and about 2 hours of my time (working slowly) I now have a VERY movable saw, yet VERY stable when parked.

This kit is much nicer IMHO than the other mobile bases, as it has 4 swivel casters, instead of the typical 2 fixed wheels with one or two casters (I have a setup like that on my HF BS and it's ok but not as nice -- but since it's a closed-base BS I can't use the RIGID base on it).

As others have said elsewhere, just use the 28 x 28" configuration and it drops right in. You do need to drill 9 holes in your BT3 stand -- 2 on each leg for the leg supports, and one for the spring which keeps the wheels elevated when parked -- but that was not difficult, and for the functionality added to your saw, there's absolutely no question that I'd recommend this.

One other note -- someone else said that you should use 2 links of the chain with the extension spring -- I found it worked better for me to just use the spring without the chain, using 2 s-hooks at the top for just a little bit less extension. Works great and the BT3 is rock-solid when parked.

Since I have to share the 'shop' with 2 cars, this is going to be my favorite BT3 mod yet...

Tim, good to see you hanging around again.

It appears that the price on the Herc-U-Lift Plus has settled at $29. A guy can barely make a good mobile base for that. Too bad the BT is the only tool for which I can use it. . . .and I'm planning a more "traditional" mobile base in the future.

I just purchased the Herc-U-Lift from the BORG. Could someone please post some pictures of a finished Herc-U-lift install on the BT3100. The picture thread: http://www.bt3central.com/forum/topi...TOPIC_ID=27486 does not seem to load…I get a, the page cannot be found error. Any posted install pictures would be greatly appreciated.

online it still shows $49 for me.
i have to go there tonight anyway so ill look for it.

i have 4 swivel/total-lock casters on it but think this might be easier than adjusting all 4 wheels all the time. 30 is worth it for sure
