Have it. Decent when you need a few quick cuts when you don't want to set up the miter saw station. Reasonably fast cuts through 2X4 with fresh batteries. Used it to cut a ton of trim for a bunch of doors. Good results. (BTW already had the batteries and charger) Purchased 3-4 years ago as part of the Ryobi "Six Pack"

Yup, I picked one up today and had it in my cart when I realized there was no battery. It quickly rejoined it's brothers on the shelf.

With $40 worth of batteries and $20 worth of charger it's not a good deal anymore unless you need a cordless saw. I don't "need" a cordless anything for my work and I personally lothe batteries.

I picked one up today...finally found it on the top shelf at the HD in Wake Forest, NC. Sure enough, $39. The clerk didn't seem to believe it. I already have the 18v Ryobi tools so this is a nice addition. (Picked up the impact driver last month. Works great) I plan to use it to cut off golf shafts, both metal and carbon fiber. If you guys could tell me a good cutoff wheel to put on this thing I'd appreciate it. I saw 7 1/4". Will that work?

            Thanks!

Welcome to the forum, it might help to look at the post dates, espcially for bargain alerts.
those posts were dated january 21-24, 2006 so I doubt there's any left...

I bought mine back in '05 on clearance. Till I saw this post is several years old, I thought someone found a small goldmine.
By it'self, this is a great little saw for trim and such. Pair it up with a Li-on battery and it's really nice.
Even better: pair it up with the 18+ canister vac that HD had on clearance for $25 and you've got a REALLY nice kit that can easily be used inside the house if needed.

silly me did not look at the date on it.

I have several of the one pluse tool set and would love to have this one as will it would do for moving faster while laying wood floor's as will as trim and yes it would have been a small gold mine. Thanks for the reply though I will look closer at the dates from now on though.
                      thanks again Liki
