    Learning to use it...

So as a Christmas present to myself last year, I bought myself the Wen low speed wet sharpener, A.K.A. the Tormek clone, and the set of sharpening jigs. Well, to be brutally honest I have no clue how to actually use these jigs, so... off to youtube I go to figure it out.

Can anyone recommend a good tutorial for using these jigs? I have the Wen sharpening tool jig set, as well as the Triton turning gouge jig. The Triton looks like it functions a LOT like the Wolverine turning gouge jig so that should be easy to figure out, mostly need to get my chisel sharpening down, and it wouldn't hurt if I could sharpen my knives and axe / hatchets. Yes for some reason I have multiple hatchets. Specifically I bought one, and have been using it for years, and then, well a somewhat surface rusty full tank Estwing hatchet appeared in my shop under my toolbox... I have no clue where it came from...

You have your work cut out for you but if followed, the result will be extremely fruitful. YouTube will be helpful, but which ones to watch, I don't know. I will be following your comments.

I would start with Tormek's web site and their YouTube channel link at the bottom of their web page.

Sounds good. I think I have the turning tool jig figured out, looks to work more or less the same as the wolverine that I have down pat... So need to learn to sharpen chisels, and my axe / hatchet with this thing. Maybe knife sharpening as well so I don't have to do that by hand...
