In early 2016, we moved into our new home and we carefully packed and labeled everything with its destination on each box. Well, a tool I valued very much came up missing and after several years of searching for it, I gave it up for lost. The tool is an IBM Latch Hook and while it has limited use in the shop, it was a keepsake from my many years there. IBM computers back in the early days were fully enclosed with steel cabinet doors secured with hidden locks to keep prying eyes and hands from the goodies inside. To open a door, the CE would insert the latch hook into a spring covered slot in the door and hook the lock release and pull the door open. I've used it to fish things out of holes, but it was a just something small with a lot of memories. Anyway, yesterday, I was rummaging around in a box of wooden shape scraps of things I've made in the past and there in the back bottom of the box was the old latch hook. Yesterday was a good day. I'm easy to please.

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.
