    Woodworking project tip

Woodworking project tip of the day:

Don't tell anyone what you are intending to make.

It saves a lot of explaining when you show off what you actually made.

For example: Don't tell your wife you are making a classic shaker chair.
Later when you give it to her you can say whose plans you followed to make the uniquely shaped toothpick out of aged Northern White Maple from Vermont..

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

I know the two statements go together, but the first one by itself is true in my house. If I tell LOML what I am about to build and explain, she says "NO" and tells why.

If I build it first and let her see it, she likes it!!!!
