Question for EE - swing down tv mount

I'd like to build a swing down tv mount. Originally I was just going to have it move manually but was wondering how hard it would be to make it electronic. I'm thinking just one remote operated actuator and gas spring? If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it. Along with a links to a place to buy the materials. Thanks

swing down? You mean it stores horizontally but the bottom swings down to make it vertical?

    Is this it?

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

That seems to be the solution and at $150 isn't a bad price at all.

Thanks. I was pricing out actuators, power supplies and gas springs on ebay and it's around the same price as this. I didn't even bother looking at pre built units because I figured they would be way too expensive
