    New business and website

My new woodworking business is now official i.e. I posted it on Facebook.

Still lots to do on the website but it is live. http://46stwoodworks.com/

I would appreciate all and any feedback on anything, site, design, copy or of course the work!

    Thanks

    Jon

Very well done. I only have two small nit picks. First, clicking on one of the images in the slideshow, at least on my mobile device does nothing. If you can make it take you to the product, that would be good. Secondly, you should probably use that nice image of the peppermills you recently made for your Peppermill category instead of the dark wood cylindrical ones there now. That way, even if they can't click on the larger image above, people can see which category they need to pick to get to them.

Thanks, great input. there is still much to do and I though I had already added links to the sliders but obviously not ;-(

I have already sold 70% of those metal stoppers so I guess I need to be making more ...

Impressive site! I'm glad that you have been able to get this going so well. If the public finds the site as appealing as I do, you are going to have to hire a lot of folks to fill orders.

              Jon,

Congrats on the website. I honestly like it. It looks very professional. I'll have to check it out on a full sized computer later.

On the main page under Bottle Stoppers, I think it should be "traditional cork".

              On this link:

I think simply saying "Welcome to 46th St...." sounds better and simpler.

Overall great, easy to navigate site.

The only suggestion I would make is to have more pictures of the boxes. At least one more to show the inside of each box.

Site looks good, products look good.

                  A few nitpicks:
                  - Under custom furniture: "Not only idle but without a fire it was frankly a rather rusty eye saw"
                  - Would like to see more pictures of each individual product. e.g. boxes opened, closed, front, back sides. Each stopper shown from different angles, etc.
                  - I'd lose the 'gifts' category, it's too general and redundant.

Have you considered offering chess boards? Seem to go with your other boards, and you can source the carved pieces online to sell with them.
