After doing her own research and handling a few of the options (Canon, Nikon, and Sony), she went for the Sony mirrorless. Biggest pluses for her were its small size since she has small hands and the quick shutter speed--11fps.

The Sony prices were mind blowing so right now she's good with the big zoom lens. That's going to have to wait.

Your comment about hand size is very accurate. I had a rep in a camera shop tell me years ago to find the camera that fits your hand. Otherwise, you won't use it if it is uncomfortable. He was right. I still use my old Canon 1D Mark IIN because it fits in my hand perfectly. The rebel or the 80D just don't feel right. I hope she has years of happy shooting!!
