I was back to work on the kitchen this weekend. I hung the cabinets in the spring and we've been using them (at least I know they're strong enough to hold the weight). However, the face frames hadn't been painted and there was crown molding and trim missing where I had moved a soffit. The doors have been painted for weeks, too--just waiting for the uppers to be painted. It was the lack of activation energy to take everything off the cabinets that held me back.

My wife graciously took the girls out pretty much all day Saturday so I could get these things done.

The final touches got put on tonight and after the paint cures overnight, I can hang the doors tomorrow.

All the trim and soffits (and consequently the whole kitchen) still needs to be painted, though. And I still need to build drawers and new fronts to replace the old doors, etc.

Made this little shelf to hold my batterires and chargers...

That left 47 hours and 57 minutes....

Made some more (not very much, it seems) progress on the UTS. (Thread here).

Helped my stepdaughter finish some of her craft projects (headboard, kitchen table refinish, and other things).

Cleaned out my gutters (which I had been procrastinating because climbing ladders two stories up is not my idea of a good time.)

And managed to stay busy most of saturday, and then loafed a bit on Sunday in between piddling around on stuff around the house.

Picked up a mess of tera cotta pots and saucers, and ceramics paint to see if LOML can do our own DIY Talavera look without the price tag...

Got very little shop clean up time, but did a tiny bit of cleanup. Made 2 out of 4 replacement 1/2" steel rods. Well not really made, but cut to length, they are the horizontal supports for my EZ Up Pagoda style pop up canopy shelter. We got run off the beach with some hard weather and I left the originals out on the beach... They are probably completely rusted away by now as the originals were more tube anyway, the replacements are solid steel rod...

Got 2 sawhorses built out of old scrap PT 2x4s for relatively temporary canoe holding duty...

Attended a meeting with the in laws looking into some business opportunities.

Worked a bit on trying to narrow down issues with the site. I need info on what you guys are seeing so I know what to fix. Please let me know if you are having any problems!

Spent some time freeing up account for another one of our tech volunteers for the site upgrade project... Worked with the source file from the image that won the logo contest, and am starting to work up some ideas for the new skin... Hope everyone likes it when I am at a point I can show it off...
