A Death I'm Really Happy About

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-24402278#.

Finally, the old man bites the dust, although it should have been a lot sooner.
I try not to hold grudges, but in cases of stuff that went down in SE Asia in the late 60's to mid 70's, those memories just won't go away.

This is a great day for all the guys that ain't here anymore.

Can you elaborate what went down in SE Asia in the late 60's to mid 70's from your point of view?

In a nutshell, efforts of the U.S. to protect the Vietnamese from communist rule failed. As a result, the country was excluded from many aspects of the burgeoning global economy, and the rank and file of the Vietnamese people ultimately suffered.

I see no point in opening old wounds. There is enough written about the NVA's treatment of our soldiers who were captured and the ways in which they fought the battles. I'm pretty sure Bruce does not want to share as most of my friends that were there also do not. Better IMHO to remember those that sacrificed due to their patriotism than to discuss what happened.

Our veterans that returned from there deserve our gratitude and a salute and yet what they came home to was nothing of the kind.
