    Tool Gloat

I really like the Ryobi 40 Volt Lithium line of tools, having purchased two.
I plan on buying their 40 Volt Lawn Mower.
    Batteries aren't cheap- $129.00 each.
Today at one of the clearance shelves, I couldn't believe my eyes-
There were three 40 Volt hedge trimmers originally priced at $149.00+
    now selling for $37.00 +
I bought all three primarily for the batteries for my future lawn mower.
With my Vet 10% discount it was about $106.00+ for all three units with batteries and chargers - less than the cost of one battery.

    Yes !!!!

Reminds me of the old Cummins truck sales. You could buy a recon 14 V drill = 2 batteries for less than the cost of a battery.

I will have to check the local store. I have the 18V One+ hedge trimmer, but it is a somewhat less than enthusiastic trimmer.

I dunno, any gloat that give you more chances to mow the lawn is not much of a gloat.

Trying to bring back some of the good times. When "You Suck" was the highest form of compliment and folks craved the "suck".

Pappy, is that the same as the 18v trimmer/edger? I was loking at one earlier this week and was thinking of buying it. Would like to know what you don't like.

Just a hedge trimmer. Just doesn't have enough power to get through anything but small twigs.

Maybe I could hook up a backpack with a car battery to make it work.

Thanks, Pappy. Guess I'll think twice before I buy it now.
