Bare bones treasure chest w/ secret whiskey compartment

I came across this today at lunch. Posting it here because I don't think I'll ever get to trying to build one, so it's not a real project. Just a coffee pot dream.

As slow as I am, I think that would take me about fifty years to build. At my age, I think it's a little too late to start.

It would take me that long just to figure out where to start.

That is really cool. I'm amazed at the minds that think these things up.

Some people just have too much time on their hands to make the rest of us mere mortals look bad. Awesum!
In my old age I look back and realize how lucky I was to live in a time when common sense was common.

For anyone looking at this, just a quick reminder to not store your whisk(e)y on its side, the high alcohol content will dissolve your cork and/or plastic top.

All the more reason to drink it quickly! I'm thinking the whiskey compartment is for short-term storage, like getting it past the revenooers.

Is that true? That doesn't sound right.

Either way, as a whisky fan, I'd never want to hide it for long term in real life.

Yup! It'll start to dissolve the cork and taint the whiskey.

I would never let a good bourbon sit long enough to go bad. Or a bad bourbon for that matter. [hic]
