They need to expand this line to include a size that would fit from chin to top of head for chattering 'SO's"

Those are "lockjaw" (now hanson) pliers with a larger pad. I own a few "lockjaw" and they do work as well as they claim.

Are these better than the vice-grip based ones they've been selling for years?

Oh, I just watched the video, they're self-adjusting. Neat, but not compelling.

Does that guiy in the video remind anyone of George Constanza???

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

I've found these to be the easiest way to clamp face frame .

I reject your reality and substitute my own.

Personally, I would think there isn't only one answer to that. Typically, if you use one thickness of wood, I don't see any real benefit.
Over the years, I have picked up Mac branded versions, of the bench clamp (then bought a multi pack of pads from Kreg, for $1 each), cheaper then getting the Kreg bench clamps. I tend to use them for 3/4" stuff more and use the regular pliers for one or two thicknesses, but only one thickness a project. (so set once and don't adjust)

I can't count the number of times I have had to stop in the middle of a glue-up just to clamp 2 notes together so they wouldn't get separated. having an extra Automaxx handy would solve the problem and for ONLY $30!

I did see that the intro date is June 15, just in time for Father's Day.
