    It has great reviews on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Scheppach-M907.../dp/B009AQ81FQ).

    But it uses 6-1/4" blade. Isn't that hard to find?

      Between that and the Grizzly, there seems to be some lower-priced alternatives to the Festool now...

        This part of the description would make me think twice;

        "Country of Origin
        (Country of Origin is subject to change.)"

        Quality Control could be a little iffy.

          I wouldn't think twice. They make great tools.

          From their website:

          The company seat at Ichenhausen (Southern Germany) is also the German production site. Here are actually manufactured about 300 products, machines and accessories.

          "Made in Germany" or "Engineered in Germany" is a quality property that not many of our competitors can assert and that secures our top position on the market.

          The certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001-2000 confirms the high quality level in our house.

            I compared both photos and except for color they appear to be identical.

              Only thing thats bothering me is the Amazon list it as made in China, otherwise they all including the Festool appear to be nearly identical in appearance. I realize Mike's statement about the german engineering is probably correct, but that claim made by Amazon indicates it to be made in China, thats entirely possible. The Grainger pricing reflects the inclusion of the 55 inch rail for the price of $175 where as the others are higher. I have a friend at Grainger I'm going to query today if possible to see if I can get more info. I personally don't have a need for this right now as I usually break down my sheet goods with a long guide I purchased at HD and a few clamps, but this looks to be a nice saw and might help on making solid cabinet fronts considering the plunge capabilitys. Regarding the issue of blades there seems to be an abundant supply available from numerous dealers including Oshlun and others. If you have need for a tracksaw this is a good price from Grainger for the equivalent tool similiar in respect to the Festool and Grizzly from what I can see online.

                The only thing about China these days that concerns me is if you couldn't return it for whatever reason.

                I don't have a particular need for one either now with my system, but it's like new cell phones - I have an unnatural want.

                  The only thing that concerns me about China now is their previous alliance with North Korea.

                      Even China is fed up with them. A little boy trying to prove he is a man, willing to sacrifice his country for his ego.
