    Snow Finally

Not that i like it, but we live about 10 miles from the southern tip of Lake Michigan, 135" to 170" in a season is not unusual. After several year of using a plow service, last year i bought a 30" blower. Used it only 3 times last season. This morning (January 24) is the first time this season--about 45 days later than what i would consider "normal".

Tough way to kill an hour!!

I have compassion for those that need that equipment. Good thing I don't...no room in my shed.

We're expecting some icing here later tomorrow,I expect the shelves at the local grocery store will be stripped of bread, milk, etc,lol today as folks always panic buy in front of any announcement of precipitation here.Global Warming, nah , http://www.srh.noaa.gov/ffc/

I was hoping for another mild winter, but no luck - Monday we had record snow fall (16" - 20") and have added another 4" to 6" each day. Not our first snow fall, either. Coupled with the single degree temperatures, travel has been rough. Had to put the chains on the truck for the first time.

Yeah, here in Alabama, any time there is ANY mention of even the possibility of a single snowflake in the state, there is a run on bread and milk.

Apparently we like "milk sammiches" down here. Personally, I've never tried one.

I have been having to run down supplies for a repair project so I has been driving the Ram to work. Got everything to keep me gong this weekend so I may take the 'Glide to work tomorrow. I may have to wear a jacket for the morning ride....

I wish we had more snow, and less of this paralyzing cold snap here in the northast. Heat wave today at 15 degrees!
