some people don't know bench dogs from puppies...

I had to laugh, reading reviews of the HF Windsor Design 60" Hardwood Workbench with 4 Drawers Item#93454, with a hardwood tail vise.
    http://www.harborfreight.com/60-inch...tm_source=1013

There were several comments like this:
Comments about Windsor Design 60" Hardwood Workbench with 4 Drawers:
Bought one today on sale. Wife and I assembled it pretty easily (remember to put the screws in the back of the drawer bottom). I too don't know why the have all of the holes on the work surface above the drawers. I put electrical tape on the bottom side of the holes to try to keep dirt out. Also wish the drawers would open about 3" more. For the price....very happy.

Apparently he and several others complaining about why are there "holes in the top" that allow dirt and dust to fall in the drawers. I guess they don't know about bench dogs and the manual surely didn't explain it.

Another reviewer said they went shopping and couldn't find a sturdy enough diaper changer but when they saw this they bought it and it worked great:
Incredible deal on a great bench
This will sound silly, but a few people might spot this review and love the idea: My wife and I needed a baby changing table. All the ones we found were flimsy, had little storage, and were ridiculously over-priced. Then we spotted this bench on sale.

It's an incredibly perfect changing table, and once the kids are done with diapers I'll get a nice workbench out of the deal! (An actual changing table would end up being gifted or donated and the investment is lost. This one will be around for years,)

It is amusing but understandable that non woodworkers wouldn't know about BD's.

This does tell us that there is a market (probably slim) for heavy duty changing tables!

Maybe the BD's will be thought of to keep baby from falling off the table.

Having changed more than a few diapers, I would be very careful with what I stored in the top drawers of the 'changing table'!

The end vise would certainly eliminate any issues of baby being squirmy.

Could always hook them to bungi cords to keep them from hitting the floor.

Duct tape. It speeds up getting the new diaper sealed, and keeps the biohazard contained.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

That's the first thing I thought of! You could also use a dog to clamp the kid down.

That's why I put a slide-out "shelf" made from 1/4" hardboard below my workbench top:

Isn't that what those 5-1/2 bench dogs are for that they supply with the table?

(I actually have that table [last year's Christmas present], it's actually a pretty decent bench for the price.)
