I haven't used those specifically, but that's a good deal for 4" casters.

Ya, Don't think I can beat that price even thru HF as I need 3 sets and should qualify for free ship I hope

At that price, I'm going to buy a few sets to try. Locally, we're at $8-$12 EACH for 3 " or 4" casters. There's a few e-bay/mail order sources for less but at $15 for 4 they could be pretty lousy and still be a fair deal.

Looking at them, i don't like the brake on the straight casters instead of the swivel--but i've got a few bases that wouldn't matter on and i could "repurpose" the caster sets on those (which have the locks on the swivel casters) on a few bases/cabinets i need to build. That 6" x 9" belt/disc sander will be next to get wheels--i use it a lot more than i thought i would and it's one heavy beast!!

        Thanks Tommy!!

Haven't seen them since there isn't a Rockler nearby but my opinion from the ad.

The price is attractive but I would be leary about the claimed load rating. No mention in the write up of what the tires are made of, how many rows of bearings are in the swivel, or the country of origin.

Also, my preference is to have a dual brake (Swivel and roll) on the swivel casters.

These would probably be fine if you need a few sets like you do, or wanted something for only occasional mobility. For me having to move things around all the time, I go with Peachtree's 4" casters. They are significantly more money, but they are so nice to use. The double-lock mechanism is very easy to operate as well.

no mention of tire material , usually polyurethane is the best.
Rolling only locks on the swivel wheels can allow the wheels to swivel and the cabinet move when pushed on. The locking fixed casters may be more stable in that respect (as two locked fixed will resist the ability for the cart to move any) but may be less convenient to use as usually its closer for you to step on the swivel wheels (closer).

HF stuff to keep prices low often shortcuts on things like bearings. NON-SMOOTH RUNNING BEARINGS can cause all kinds of problems in rolling straight and tracking and even handling the load rating. So depending on how close to the rating you intend to run and how much and far you intend to move it you may want to check out the bearings for feel and this means you can't safely order it by mail... just sayin'

All good info, Their ordered and I will let ya'll know when they get here what the wheel and bearings look like, for the money saved on gas to go to HF and time involved I can only hope they wotk out as the load they will be moving is nominal.
