The annual Beloit College Mindset list is out for the entering class of 2016.
This lists events and people references that are during the student's lifetime and that that we may all know but are totally beyond the ken of the entering freshmen. One reason they publish it is so that professors won't make references to what they think is general knowledge but that totally baffles the kids.
Like for example, for this years entering freshman class, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and Kurt Colbain have always been dead.
