After so many years without a problem . . . .

. . . . OUCH, that hurt.

Fortunately, the cut was quite shallow and did not require stitches. Will have to give it tender loving care for about two weeks.

Take home message: ALWAYS BE CAREFUL . . . ALWAYS!

Pappy got it right. I was trying to put a bevel on a small piece of wood for a picture frame and was actually reaching for the push stick. The blade was just a tad proud of the wood piece and probably kept my thumb from going any further into the blade.

Lesson learned - -always be careful, always - - the hard way!

Blood makes the best stain. Best advice...plan for an alternate stain for a project.
