    Thanks for the concern.

The guys on the West Coast and the Pan Handle are really getting it. It seems like it has been raining cats and dogs here in Orlando for a month. The ground is saturated. There is a sick oak tree that was tilted toward our house during the three huricanes that passed over Orlando in 2006. It may decide to pull up its root ball from the soggy soil and fall on our house. YIKES

Tie that sucker off the other way and PULL!

I have 2 very sick trees close to my house that I am waiting for the tree service to come make disappear for me...

It's rained here almost every day for a few weeks. We lost a good size Eucalyptus tree during Wilma. It was in the front yard next to our vehicles. The afternoon before, I decided to move both vehicles to the side of the house. When the tree fell, it fell right across the driveway where our cars were.

As I recall, Florida was in the midst of a drought not too long ago. This is called reversion to the mean.

At least everyone in Florida knows how to swim...don't they?

If they don't know how to swim,

now would be an idea time to learn! In the past 24 hours, we have had at least 5 and half inches of rain. And we are considered dry compared to others who have at least 9" or more! There was one fatality because of a tornado; a 32 year old mother was pulled from her home and thrown at least 200 feet, and she held onto her 3 year old daughter who survived. Story from Fox Orlando 35 news:

Florida's drought status is reported to be the level of Lake Okeechobee. Its level can be so minimal to create a water restriction.

Twelve inches of rain here in Largo on Sunday with high winds. Went out front yesterday and our showcase Oleander (trained as a tree) had its trunk split down the middle almost half a foot. My wife and I put two 1/4 x 5" bolts through the trunk and it closed nicely. Hopefully the wound will heal.
My Grizzly g0555lx shipped yesterday with delivery supposedly 6/28 but the driver's going to have to make it through some weather to get here on time!
