Earl, check irsauctions.com occasionally, there are a lot of woodworking shops closing up nowadays and you can find a deal on there occasionally. If I go with 220/240v on 1 side of the new shop its my intent to grab one somewhere from them oneday, theres an auction coming up next month here that I'm bidding on a tablesaw from here , http://www.irsauctions.com/index_lot...&tot=&id=15903

must be a good saw, it's "Limited Addition".
I guess that means it has everything, there's little you can by that will add to it.
Or maybe it lacks a math coprocessor.

Kinda right up there with a radial alarm saw.

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

Not really serious about either, but it struck me as funny that i looked at those two ads back-to-back. You're right Loring--as i looked at that Powermatic i couldn't imagine what else one might be able to put on it. Air conditioning and an MP3 player?

Looking again, the size is almost too much to get around. I'm new at this, but my other concern would be having so many functions tied to one motor. Something goes wrong with one machine and what all do you lose?

I've been wearing a pedometer for the last month or so--that thing would definitely increase my daily steps!!
