My garage / workshop is attached, with one circuit that is shared for lighting in the kitchen, and laundry room. With everything on it, at most it pulls 12 amps. That includes my air filter.

My other wall outlet is shared with both bathroom wall outlets, and both outdoor outlets. I don't do any woodworking of any kind during the Christmas season. The lights kill me...

I typically run my tools off of the main outlet, and drag a 12 ga extension cord to the laundry room that has a dedicated 20 amp 110V circuit for the washer, to feed the dust collector or air compressor... That's no problem. Running the A/C in there IS a problem as the extension cord can get warm when it is running hard. I am sure that isn't a good thing...

LOML wants to move the freezer out to the shop to get it out of the kitchen, and I agree that is a good thing. I would be all well and good / happy if I could get L&G out of there, and keep cars out of there. I could also be happy if I had things set up more mobile, and just rolled aside to park the car with L&G out of there as long as I could wheel things into place to work with the car out of there...

Odds are I am going to have to go that way. Any shed I can do on my lot, will be too small for the scale of my equipment, and the projects I tend to work... I mean I could make it work in a 12x16, but I would be rolling a lot of stuff outside to work on the patio which is a hot and sweaty ordeal here for half the year...

That seems a little high - an 8" concrete block is only about a buck and only 20% shorter

Do you have room in your panel for additions? Does your panel allow for tandem breakers?
