Dado identification

I mentioned earlier that I had a fairly old dado set.

I thought it was a Vermont American set --- it's not.

Here's a description.

In green ink, it says "HOE" inside a football-shaped logo.

Below the word "HOE" is "Saw Manufacturers"

That's all I can really read (a lot of the ink is faded).

Another line has the word "Hard" on it and "finish" (not sure what's between).

I bought the stack at a yard sale, from a guy that moved here from Washington state. He said his dad was a woodworker.

We have a lot of HOEs walking the street down by park. Sorry just couldn't resist. Never heard of that saw blade. Hang someone here will come up with the information. Welcome aboard. Know all about the no new tools edict.

Bob - yeah - I found that, too --- no information about them - just a note on the fact they exist......

The geography seems to work.

Hoe Dados

Pacific/Hoe Saw & Knife Co is a company not too far form where I live. They are, or were, manufacturers of sawmill blades and the like. They had sold out to another company. They did make dado sets, but the new owners scuttled that product, but in a telephone call today, customer service said they may still have parts available. Just be glad it's not a Vermont American... What a piece of trash mine was... Okay mine had the Skil silk screened name on it, but it was oh so obvious it, and the Vermont American were one and the same item...
