Anyone watched it? I have watched 1 episode and, now, part of another.

My wife is addicted to reality shows. Amazing Waste ( I mean RACE), Stupidvivor, The Losers (aka Batchelor and Batchelorette), House Full Of Back-stabbing Idiots (Big Brother).....

My idea of entertaining television is a show with people hired to write scripts for trained actors to perform in at least a semi believable portrayal.

GCB does not qualify on either half of the equasion....

I was trying to remember what the abreviation is for the new CCA stuff, when I read this, and thought this might have been what that was about. Didn't have a clue about this being a show.

I could never figure out the draw to a TV show that was faked out to appear real. Seems the polls show they are popular.

Most TV shows on don't interest me. I seldom watch unless it's a PBS documentary or sports.

I enjoyed last night's segment of Frozen Planet. Much to my amazement, so did one of our cats. Baying wolves got her attention and then she was hooked!

Mythbusters, Ice Pilots, Flying Wild Alaska, Sons of Guns and Gold Rush are other favorites. Except for Mythbusters, they're all "reality TV", but there appears to be a bit less manufactured drama. Besides, how many males can resist watching big machines, airplanes (a particular favorite of mine) and blowing things up?

The ones I find offensive are the "Keeping up with the Kerds", "Real housewives of name your irrelevant place", etc. Where they show people showing off how wealthy they are and how out of touch with reality they are. I'm convinced that these people couldn't survive for more than a day if you plunked them down in a rural community without their wallets. (And if they did survive more than a day it'd only be because people in rural communities are used to taking in strays).


I used to have a problem with "Ugly Betty". Why would you call a show that and imply to people that this girl was ugly. Tends to hurt people's self esteem who share some of her characteristics.


As far as GCB is concerned. Most wouldn't have an issue if they removed the C from the title. For me, I've known too many who fit the description.

But no, I'm not interested in the show either.

Anything on astronomy, wildlife or history will trump 90% of the stuff my wife watches. And when she claims the TV, I try to sneak to the shop.

The reality shows just don't do it for me.

My interests are in good movies, documentaries (PBS mainly), or the once in a while good tv series that comes along. The last brings to mind of "Person of Interest" on CBS Thursday nights. True, it's a stretch of the imagination, but not by much.
Then along comes GCB; Never seen it and didn't know what it was till seeing this thread and looking on Wiki. Just not interesting to me. Others may like it, it's their time and they watch what interest them.
But, I do have a problem when they use the "B" word in the title as they do. Also, why do people use the "B" word when describing a mean woman? The female dog doesn't deserve that connotation. Nor does the Christian females.
