    Plane Madness on ebay

Inspired by the recent post on a smoothing plane, I looked on ebay.

This plane is offered at $5,000.00.

In the case of the first link, $5,000, some people are greedy....Others are just plain stupid!

...and some are both greedy and plain stupid.

I'm 5 years older than that first plane. Imagine what I'm worth!

I was soooo tempted to make an offer of $5.00 and include a link to the $5.00 plane.....

Maybe just a typo. Or, maybe the thought was that someone would pay it.

there's a one in a million chance that some one will pay 5 grand for that plane. But if you no one knows you have it and don't ask, then it's Zero chances.

Or maye its a coded message for spies... or drug smugglers. Five Grand gets you this plane and a load of Cocaine.

Be careful, Loring, the DHS is gonna pay you a visit!

I can't use the "free" planes I have now; no need to bid on new old ones…

The first appears to be original, including the (rare) decal. The second is a user plane and appears to have been repainted.

Still not sure the first would sell for $5K, but it's collectable, while the second is not.

That is better odds than winning the lottery.

Maybe the first guy's wife told him to get rid of some of his tools and now he can say "Well, I tried to sell it..."
