    I guess i wasn't aware B&D sold Delta...
Maybe that's why the low end delta tools previously called "Shopmaster" were rebranded as Porter Cable. Like the JT-160 and JT360 jointers, the 12" bandsaw and various small benchtop sanders etc.
    Loring in Katy, TX USA

It's the "Made in the USA" thing. Reminds me of MacNeil Automotive/Weather Tech, and the "What Matters To You" statement in their ads. It's about how they have made their operation very "American" by all their equipment, supplies, etc., come from the USA.

There seem to be some errors in that article. For example, the article says that Rockwell bought Deltat in the 40's and manufactured products under the Delta name. In passing discussion, the old ww machinery folks talk about Rockwell buying Delta in the 70's and that the Rockwell branded equipment from that era was lower quality. Not sure of the objective fact here, without researching it, but the article seems to contradict popularly accepted lineage for the brand.

The facilities look more like a place where they do some final assembly and pack/ship.

I wonder if the castings and the steel work are produced here, as well.

Not complaining, mind you. Any little bit helps.

There is a video toward the bottom that shows a lot of detail on the manufacturing.
I though it was a good look. Little long, but I enjoyed it.
