    2x6 Challenge Surplus Prize Auction

Now that our 2x6 Challenge has ended and all the winners have claimed their prize we are left with a prize donation to auction. Turaj as the grand prize winner choose the gift from Holbren but also wanted to donate part back to BT3Central. I am waiting to hear from Brian what the dollar value of the remaining prize is but it will be at least $50 US.

As you bid keep in mind our purpose is to raise funds for the site. The winning bidder will receive not only the prize value Brian states is remaining but also Patron status at the level the bid exceeds the value of the prize. For example if the value is $50 and the winning bid is $60 then the member Patron level will be Bronze.

Bidding is now open. This will be a silent auction. Bids will be placed via forum post to this thread in even US dollar amounts. The auction will close June 15, 2011 @ 12:00 PM PDST. The highest bidder will then have 48 hours to purchase a patronage via the forum Fund Drive link at the dollar amount of their bid. Questions or comments?

    Let the bidding begin..........

With the updated prize value, what is the starting bid? It might be helpful to clarify.

Cool, I just purchased a Gold patron for $50.

I think I'll put the $70 towards a new dado stack from Holbren. My old Craftsman stack doesn't quite cut it very well. $20 off some new toys for me and $50 towards BT3central. Sounds like a great deal all around. Thanks Brian! and Turaj.

I ended up getting the Olshun 42T 8" stack from Holbren. I haven't used it yet, hopefully I will soon.

I'd like to make a big thanks to Brian Holbren. The 8" stack was more than the $70 credit not even including shipping. Once I finally decided which one I wanted he called it even and shipped it out.

Brian Holbren (www.holbren.com) has been great supporter of BT3Central for a long time. He has a standing discount for members here and has given us some good special deals. He doesn't take advantage of us and is an all-around great guy. if you need some router bits, saw blades, jointer knives etc, you should check with him first.
