    Great Customer Support from FastCap

I recently went to use my FlatBack measuring tape from FastCap and it wouldn't retract properly. A quick disassembly showed that the plastic shaft the tape spool rides on was broken.

I sent a question about the warranty on Saturday 4/2. On Monday 4/4, I had a reply indicating they would gladly replace the tape, no questions asked. I sent back the proper part number on 4/5. Today I received the replacement tape measure in the mail.

Wow, only two day turnaround and it was mailed all the way from Washington state down to Texas.

Kudos for great service from Jennifer at FastCap!

Wow, that is top notch for sure! I have honestly only experienced customer service at that level from 3 companies, ever...

The first was Coleman, the camping gear people. I busted a buckle on a 10 year old backpack hip belt. They shipped me a brand new hip belt assembly no questions asked... It was at my door in 2 days. I was only calling to see if I could BUY a new one! (I REALLY like this old pack!)

The second was with MLCS Woodworking. I ordered the pins & tails template and dovetail bit set, and the dovetail bit was missing. I had a replacement in my mailbox in 3 days...

The third was Lee Styron and his Lee Way Workshop... I got a Shark Guard that shipped with a small gap toward the tail of the guard. I contacted Lee to see how to seal up that gap, he shipped me out a new guard no problem. I did have to send the original back, but he footed the bill for shipping and all...

      One More Good Company

I have numerous 2" clamps from Irwin - called "quick grip". The pads have fallen off the ends and gotten lost. I went to their website and tried to contact them. Told them the problem in an email last Monday. On Wednesday I had 10 new pads in the mailbox.
I also wanted to purchase them, but there was no cost and free shipping. Great to know that people stand behind their product.

        Good service from Rockler

I received a set of finger joint cauls from Rockler (on sale, free shipping). One of the fingers on one of the 1/4" cauls was broken (obviously at the Taiwanese factory). After a no hassle call to customer service, I received a new 1/4" set in 4 days at no charge. Way to go Rockler!

I had a good experience with Rockler too. A locking knob on a band saw fence broke a few months after I installed it. I called Rockler and they promptly sent a new one.

Ridgid came through too. The batteries on a drill/circ saw/flashlight combo set wouldn't hold a charge after several years. I happened to have the receipt from the HD I purchased the tools at. Took the weak batteries to the Ridgid repair facility, and they replaced both of them. I like Ridgid tools
