My weekend project...

It's been a busy weekend... LOML has a mess of medical appointments to run with the BIL so I need to do dinners. I figured grilling up a mess of burgers, fajitas, hot dogs, bratwurst, and kielbasa will at least minimze my kitchen time this week....

The grill is a foldup job LOML got me from Avon while we were dating. This is the first time we have actually used it. The idea was to use it to grill out on beach trips, then Katrina, Rita, Ike etc... Just hasn't happened...

Ummm. What's that green stuff, a salad? All I see around here is white!

If I see white here, we have BIG problems... That green stuff is something you northern folks might rmember, it's called grass... I have had to mow for the last month already this year. early even by Texas standards....

We don't have grass up here, though some folks do keep lawns. Right now, however, there are 10' piles on either side of the driveway and 5' berms on the street. I have no place to move snow left over when the fellow who plows our driveway is finished.

We're supposed to get a 55 degree day on Thursday but I think it's going to take a long string of warm days to deal with all of the snow we've had in just the last three weeks. Apparently snowfall totals at Donner Summit are 2 feet short of the 1951-1952 record - 61 feet.
