    Japan before and after

      That's an amazing sequence of pictures, very meticulously arranged. Gives us a great idea of the impact of the earthquake and aftermath.

          It is really hard to get my head around all of this. It seems like the impact from the quake / tsunami was far worse than the repeated whammies of Hurricanes Rita, then followed by Ike on the Texas coast. and then top THAT off with the fact those poor folks are having to deal with a nuclear disaster in the aftermath...

          We are still in recovery from Ike mode. I can't even imagine how long it will take Japan to recover from this...
