This is the hoax that is going around. A search on google news says that this hoax on Facebook and Twitter leads you to a fake page where malware is downloaded to your computer and then sends it to all your friends. Please be careful.

Its not a hoax - that name is a virus. I never went to any site, never looked it up anywhere. I ain't book my face nor am I a twit, but 'Charlie Sheen' is everywhere, permeating my ether and polluting my drinking water. It has even appeared in my favorite (and only) online forum, and that's for woodworking!
But I am afraid to pray that this name goes away, because it'd only mean something even nastier had sprouted - lesser as a celebrity, worse as a personality.It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.
