    Winter preparedness

Authorities suggest that anyone traveling in the current icy conditions should make sure they have the following:

    Shovel
    Blankets or sleeping bag
Extra clothing including hat and gloves
    24 hours worth of food
    De-Icer
    Rock Salt
    Flashlight with spare batteries
    Road Flares or Reflective Triangles
    Empty gas Can
    First Aid Kit
    Booster cables

I probably looked like an idiot on the bus this morning!

Good one Bob. Didn't expect the ending and got a good laugh from it.

              Good one!

Mindful of the current weather conditions here in the NE (and elsewhere) I was expecting some serious suggestions... and the "humor" of it caught me off guard. Excellent, for we sure need it!

              Thanks,

              CWS

ps, I was once stuck in a drift overnight and being prepared turned it into a good adventure. Otherwise it may have been something far less. One should always be prepared for the "what if's"!

I was once stuck in Chicago for an entire winter, and nothing I had or could buy would have prepared me for that experience.
